PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Additions and renovations will comprise of 132,500 sq.ft. of new academic and administrative space and 307,000 sq.ft. of renovations to the existing school. A major 85,000 sq.ft four-story addition will consist of a new main entry and office, nurse's office, classrooms, computer lab, two gymnasiums and personal fitness lab, and a girl's physical education and team locker rooms. Another four-story addition to the north of the school will provide 12 science labs with prep and storage rooms, 3 lecture classrooms, and a computer lab.

In addition to the new classroom space, auxiliary spaces also must be increased to accommodate a greater number of students. The media center / library will expand while the lower level accommodates a new kitchen, faculty dining room and lounge. The existing kitchen will be incorporated into the renovated cafeteria.

The projected student enrollment for the 2005-06 academic school year is 2236.

Construction Cost:  $58.0 million

Completion Date:  Autumn 2005
