PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  A new 67,000 sq.ft. two story building designed for one hundred beds with provisions for two hundred beds. This facility was designed to replace an existing 30-year old, 39-bed facility. All residential units are two levels organized around a double height day room with a small, partially covered outdoor recreation area. The facility is designed with over 30% of its area in program space. This includes a gym, an exercise room, a secure outdoor recreation area, seven classroom spaces – one outfitted as a computer room, another as a library and one for arts and crafts. There is a 60-seat cafeteria which is also used for visitation, an activities room and numerous interview and conference spaces.

MEP includes new HVAC system, plumbing, complete fire protection system, electrical and security system.

Construction Cost:  $12.5 million

Completion Date:  Spring 1997
